It is expected that the Code will provide open and competitive access to gas transportation infrastructure and catalyse development of the Nigerian Gas Sector; thereby stimulating domestic utilisation and gas-based industrialisation.
Since the launch of the Code by Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources in February 2020, Industry has been waiting with bated breath for details on how the Code will be operationalized, and the likely impacts on industry players. The NGA has taken a proactive approach to engage with the DPR and industry, in order to facilitate industry-wide consultation, dialogue and clarification on certain aspects of the Code, and buy-in. This webinar aims to converge industry thought leadership to shape the direction of the operationalization process.
It also seeks to interrogate the current status, progress, operationalization gaps and roadmap to successful implementation of the NGTNC, while specifically addressing the following objectives:
• Raise awareness on the scope and coverage of the Network Code following its launch in February 2020 and in particular how it impacts existing gas supply arrangements / legacy Gas Transportation Agreements and new transactions
• Determine key imperatives for seamless transition, implementation and operationalization of the Network Code
• Draw alignment of key stakeholders to achieve the objectives of the NGTN
